Gym Membership

Wanna hear about something that I’m finding really frustrating at the moment? Trying to join a gym. There are gyms everywhere and everyone I’ve spoken to at gyms? Totally fine and lovely. They have to be or who would ever join up?

It’s not so much the joining of the gym that’s frustrating, it’s the cost.

You can spend approximately $12-$30+ a week on gym membership. It’s not cheap. For those of us doing the 38-40 hour a week grind, it means using your gym at least 3 times a week, for good value as well as good health. The Transformed Wife

Have you seen The Transformed Wife on Facebook? If not, FYI, she doesn’t fold down into a car or anything cool like that. The Transformed Wife is like a regular woman who is married, but says she spent more than two decades in a “difficult marriage” before transforming into a religiously submissive wife. She often shares biblical verses that tell women how they should be behaving, according to long-dead men. She posts them online with her interpretation of what they mean. Then, people comment and politely question or disagree with her and get banned from her page.

Social media: How bad is it?

My social media feed is, quite ironically, littered with posts about the apparent trash-fire that is social media. I get it. It’s not all sunshine and roses. I would know, having spent far too long in the stranger corners of it in the name of research and morbid curiosity. I’ve been in Facebook groups for Doomsday Preppers, groups devoted to vicious arguing under the guise of debate, Flat Earth groups and more. There are many hours that I’ll never get back, reading forums, tweets, posts and pins peddling conspiracy theories, fear, pseudoscience and dangerous quackery.

He believes that women should be allowed these items to protect themselves from “stronger and potentially more experienced” attackers.
