I wrote last week about violence against women. While most people who responded to the post got where I was coming from- some did not. So on that note, can I just point out that not once in that piece or any other piece I have written have I said or even implied that ALL men are violent, abusive or otherwise contributing to rape culture and the oppression of women?
By now I’m sure you’ve heard about the horrific murder of 17 year old Masa Vukotic just a short distance from her home while walking in a park in the evening. Like everyone that heard about it, I felt absolutely sick to the stomach just thinking about it and heartbroken for her family and friends.
We are living in the age of the selfie. I admit- I do love the odd selfie or even the odd “brelfie“- it breaks up my instagram feed a bit, you know? So it’s not just adorable kid/cat/food pictures.
